Peter Drury is the best, he's so grounded in grammar and uses the right terms when needed. The way he shouts when goal attempts are made and when goals are scored really lightens up the atmosphere and creates an increasing desire for a replay. His partnership with Jim Beglin makes EPL matches interesting to watch, especially in big games. I think Peter Drury deserves the first position, next to Jim Beglin, and then followed by Jon Champion.

I get it, best commentators has to be englishmen, what about italian, spanish and others.
i would av been satisfied if this topic was "best english commentators". or is this post telling me that other non-english speaking commentators do not comment prestigious competitions like world cup and champions league ? What about ones that comments only with Uefa accepted language. We being allocated english commentaries and commentators listed by top match transmitting networks like sky sports is because we speak and listen english, not for the fact that those people listed there are the very best, because we've never get to hear other commentators as such making them not so popular in this part of the world.
