Avg 450k/month during my NYSC, 2018. Increased by 25% after service though. Was posted to a secondary school and had more time for myself. I worked from home.

NYSC: N250 in 1988. Salary after NYSC was N300 in Ikeja. After a year, got another job for N650. I almost went insane on that day (too much money then). Naija don spoil. Now i have a take-home of over N1m but the thing no reach.

guess what I have never used my cert to apply for any jobs since I finished my secondary sch only sch cert and pass records (good character) recommends me to my new job and my first pay was 3k 13years ago.
so far so good have spent 13years in the industry and tru out this tenure was able to have my ND n HND in MECH ENGR and the good news is that my present jobs pays far better than the whole years I have spent in the industry making use of my ND cert...

N150 was my first salary in 1980 with my WAEC. That was with the state Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

My first job 2009 was 38k, I nearly rejected the offer because I felt the money was not commensurate to my qualification. I just wrote my final ICAN exams at that time and I was so sure I will pass. Thanks to the guy we both accepted the offer together that year. He encouraged me to accept the offer since I do not have anything I was doing. I reluctantly signed the letter. But today I earn over N1m a month.

I earned 15k as a secondary school teacher, i was the highest paid in the school. i thought maths from Jss1 to ss3, then Biology, physics and chemistry for Sii to SS3

It was worth it because my 3 months experience , keeping busy with basics of science , made me successful in the first written est interview that got me the job that i earned 50k, in 2011.

and i really bless God for where i m today, and hoping earnestly to gradually reach that level that i have craved for.


Please you can always start small, but as a graduate, its strange that you remain in job where u earn basic salary of less than 80k for 3 years!
especially engineers that spent 5 years in school. yet you work both saturday and sunday, work almost 9 hours a day. its spiritual and musr be dealt with bth prayer and hard work.

i am very surprised that i met some friends earning less than 60k in a company they joined as experienced and with masters and they are still comfortable for 3 years, meaning at the point of employment they earned less than 50k... and they relaxed since then without making moves to getting another job!!!!

Even drivers and stewards dont earn less than 50k these days.

Mine was 2500 in 2005. Was in SS3 then, was unable to pay for my Waec, so i had to go teach in a private nur/Pry school, and thats was how the hustle started. And i had to sponsor myself all through high institution. Its all story today.
