The movie (LIONHEART) was directed and produced by Genevieve Nnaji, Lion Heart becomes the first movies from Nollywood to stream on NetFlix in a deal which saw the popular actress become N1.3billion richer as the movie was sold to Netflix for $3.8 million.


The star-studded movie had veteran actors and actress in the industry gracing our screen Nkem Owoh, Pete Edochie, Onyeka Onwenu, and many others also adding a spice was the special appearance of Peter Okoye of the favorite music duo P_Square.



MOVIE STORYLINE:

Looking to prove her worth running a company in a male-dominated industry, Adaeze steps up to the challenge when her father, Chief Ernest Obiagu is forced to take a step back due to health issues. Ironically, he appoints his crude and eccentric brother, Godswill, instead to run the company with his young daughter. Complications arise when they discover that the family business is in dire financial straits and both Adaeze and Godswill try to save the company in their own way to crazy and often hilarious results.

Ishaya Bako, Emil B. Garuba, and C.J. ‘Fiery’ Obasi wrote the movie.

Lionheart premiered in the Toronto film festival in 2018 and its available in cinemas in Nigeria and of course on Netflix.

Genevieve totally reminded us why she's the queen of the big screen. The movie is so good you'll forget about the A list cast and fall in love with their characters!
