Commendations have indeed trailed the gesture and giant stride recently registered by Hon. Paul Uzochukwu Ezeobi, the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) aspiring to represent Nnewi South Constituency 2 in the Anambra State House of Assembly, as he kicked off grassroot sensitization and interaction with people of the constituency.
This grassroot movement which is anchored on interaction with the constituents is aimed at finding out the pressing needs of the people, what their challenges are and where they urgently need attention or intervention of the government. This bottom-top approach to governance and policy formulation was widely embraced and applauded by the people as it afforded and still affords them the opportunity to make their pressing and daily challenges known, as well as engage the vibrant aspirant in a meaningful discussion for the betterment of the constituency. The campaign also opened the people's eyes to the whole lots of dividends which they have been loosing for years as a result of poor representation which he has actually come to remedy.
Speaking at these sensitization interactive campaigns, Hon. Ezeobi noted the need to engage the people both old and young in such a meaningful interaction, as, according to him, good governance actually starts with the people. He promised that if voted in as a legislator, his representation would not only bring the government closer to the people at the grassroot, but will also ensure that the people enjoy the dividend of democracy in its entirety and have their hopes restored.
He then called on the entire people of Nnewi South Constituency 2 to give him their maximum support in the forthcoming election as it would only take a vigorous, concerned, committed and selfless young man like him to bring quality representation to the people, and restore them from the shackles of developmental backwardness.
In return, the constituents whose joy knew no bound, appreciated Hon. Ezeobi, eulogized his simplicity and transparency, and prayed for God's divine favour and landslide victory as he fully launched into his political aspiration, even as they avowed their unreserved readiness to give him their consummate support in the forthcoming election.
The places so far visited with this grassroot campaign by Hon. Ezeobi and his team include: Umudiala Ezinifite, St. Michael Catholic Church Ezinifite, Ebenator Community, Awor village, Ifite village, Akala village among others.
