Good... But you are still not seeing the connection.. God is almighty, everything he created is under his control, the devil is not an exception.. The devil does not do whatever he likes, because the devil is not a dual opposite of God.. He only acts with an expressed permission from God... So whatever the devil does is what God tells him to do.. Because the devil must bend to the will of God.. He can't alter or go against it..
Whatever power the devil has was given to him by God, and it must be used according to the will of God..
So I wonder where you got the impression that the devil is evil.. The devil is not evil neither is he independent of God.. He belongs to a group of beings referred to as "the sons of God"
