Due to an increase in the work of our senior research fellows, we are now looking to add one research assistant to our team.
Requirement

1. MSc and or PhD in Economics/Finance/Econometrics. PhD students are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to high quality applicants with degrees from Nigerian, Ghanaian and Turkish Universities. Graduate degree holders from other African countries can apply
2. Solid writing skills and very good experience with sourcing for and analyzing economics and finance data using time series, cross section and panel data econometrics
3. Working knowledge of excel, Eviews, Stata or R
4. Possesses a computer with internet and has access to electricity, either through NEPA or otherwise, during work hours
5. Can deliver excellent quality at all times, on or before deadlines, irrespective of how tight the deadlines are
6. Can work with their own resources until payment comes without needing up front from
7. Can respond to email request in seconds or minutes, meaning the appropriate person is always logged into their email accounts
8. Is sharp and productive, yet pleasant and amiable to work with and has a well-developed level of emotional intelligence
9. Has experience with writing and or publishing research papers in decent journals


Mode of work

Essentially, this a work-from-home job. The job requires a computer connected to the internet and steady access to electricity during work hours.

Compensation

a. PhD holders
For any month worked, there is a minimum salary of $90 and a maximum salary of $180 only when assigned tasks are completed at reasonable levels as determined by the assigned supervisor. There is also a discretionary bonus of $0-$150 during periods of a successful outcome.

b. MSc holders/PhD students
For any month worked, there is a minimum salary of $70 and a maximum salary of $145 only when assigned tasks are completed at reasonable levels as determined by the assigned supervisor. There is also a discretionary bonus of $0-$150 during periods of a successful outcomes.
