Hello fellow bbnaija fanz! I created this thread to share any latest news about everything relating to the bbnaia 2019 show that is coming up soon.

I will like this thread to be a collaborative effort because I may not be able to post all the time so if you have any latest news please post it here for the benefit of every fan of the show.

I will post the first pieces of news after this introduction but before I do that, I want to share a great discovery I made that will delight all bbnaija fans and help you to get news about the show on time.

How to Register or Apply for BBNaija 2019 Audition

Note that there is no registration form or application form that needs to be filled, no matter the price. Housemates are selected from Auditions. This year’s audition is free to enter and will hold on the 1st and 2nd February in the cities listed above.

Please note that there is no form to buy or fill. People telling you to buy or fill a form are al scammers. Some people even go as far as creating mentoring groups just to scam people so please be very careful and don’t pay anybody any money for the Big Brother Naija 2019 form becuase there is no form. Taking part in the audition is FREE and you don’t fill anything before the day.

To be a part of the audition, all you have to do is to locate any audition venue closest to you on the audition dates (1st and 2nd February 2019). Make sure you go there with your international passport. The official instructions specify international passport so try your best to get one before that day but if you do not have then you should at least go with a valid ID card like National ID Card or Drivers License and pray that they accept that.

Africa’s popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, is set to return for a fourth season with the producers of the show also revealing that the Big Brother House will be in Nigeria.

Auditions for the show will hold on the 1st and 2nd of February 2019 in eight locations across Nigeria, an increase from previous editions.

In addition, Nigeria’s number one betting website, Bet9ja, has been announced as headline sponsors of the new season.

The reality TV show which follows the format of the international Big Brother franchise is known to bring excitement and entertainment to fans and viewers across the continent as it houses strangers over a period of three months who contest against each other in a battle of wits for the ultimate prize.

Speaking on the return of Big Brother Naija, the Chief Executive Officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, Mr John Ugbe said: “This fourth season promises to be even bigger than previous editions and underscores MultiChoice’s position as the biggest investor and driver of entertainment content on the continent”.

Since its maiden edition in 2006, the Big Brother Naija reality TV show has produced some of the country’s biggest pop culture influencers and celebrities including Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Gideon Okeke, Katung Aduwak, Bisola Aiyeola, Efe Ejeba and Uriel Oputa and mostly recently Miracle Ikechukwu, Tobi Bakre and Cynthia “Cee-C” Nwadiora.

5 Things To Know Before Going To Audition For Big Brother Naija 2019

Big Brother Naija 2019 is here and the reality show promises to be better than previous editions. Although details of the grand prize and premiere date have not been disclosed, we know all you need to audition for Big Brother Naija 2019.

After two seasons of consecutive hosting in South Africa, the Big Brother Naija House 2019 will be situated in Nigeria, as it should. The organizers have announced that Ebuka Uchendu, also known as ‘able god’, will remain as the show host in 2019. Taking over from Payporte, Bet9ja is pushing through this year as the lead sponsor and that tells us something -there is a heavy bag to be secured this year. This interests you? Here is everything you need to audition for Big Brother Naija this year.

1. Your age matters

Before you freak out, even if you’re older than Moses, you can audition. You only have to be at least 21 to apply and there isn’t an age limit. While we’re looking forward to new young faces, it’d be interesting if someone’s grandpa ended up on our screens. Since their generation was so concerned about all the “immoralities” during the last edition, they can pull up with their bottles of holy water and walking sticks. We’d eventually evict them of course, but wouldn’t that be fun to watch?

2. Audition dates

Did someone say February was the month of love? No friend, it’s the month to take the first step towards securing your bag in 2019. Auditions for Big Brother Naija 2019 will be coming to eight cities on the 1st and 2nd of February. So set your alarms and start ironing your shirt, there is not much time left.

3. Audition venues

Big Brother Naija has made the auditions easy and accessible for most Nigerians. This year, the auditions will be held in more cities across the country. Here is the list of centers across Nigeria:

Lagos: D’Podium event center, Off Adeniyi Jones, Allen Ikeja

Abuja: Multichoice office, Plot 1548 Ademola Adetokunbo street, Beside NEMA adjacent Transcorp Hilton

Port Harcourt: Hotel Presidential, 5141, Aba road.

Ibadan: Mauve 21 Events Centre, MKO Abiola way Ring Road by Adeoyo Junction.

Enugu: Oakland Hotel and Park, Tunnel Crossing, Ogui ring road behind Etim Plaza.

Warri: Deluxe Garden Suites, Bauchi Close, Shell Edjemba.

Calabar: Venetian Arena, Plot 5 Murtala Mohammed Highway.

Benin: Uyi Grand Event Center, 11 Osagiede street GRA.

4. Valid identification

Now, as the name suggests, the show is set up exclusively for Nigerian citizens. The only form of identification allowed is a valid international passport so you can pull up with your British accent but don’t forget your Nigerian proof of citizenship. If you don’t have one, we suggest you get it now before they close the gate and you lose your bag to someone else.

5. Audition cost

Various Big Brother Naija pages have begun to pop up on social media and some of these pages will try to sell you the form. Do not fall for this scam! The auditions are free for all eligible candidates. Simply show up and audition.

BBNaija 2019: Ebuka reacts to aspirant putting their photos side-by-side with the show’s logo



Media personality and Host of the Big Brother Naija Show, has reacted to pictures of ‘aspiring contestants’ putting their pictures side-by-side with the Big Brother Logo, soliciting for support when the Audition hasn’t even started.

This came after a Twitter user inquired; @dstvnigeria pls did you guys give out information for people to start attaching their pictures with the BBN logo and solicit for support Cos I’ve been seeing a lot of that? @africamagictv @Ebuka

Continuing he wrote; “In fact, you’re probably even doing yourself more harm. A major element of Big Brother is secrecy and surprise but you think announcing your intentions on social media is a bright idea… Toh!”

A user then replied; “They probably thinking if they even get voted in to the #BBNaija house. More followes = more votes.”

Then Ebuka responded; “If the organizers wanted people with followers on the show, they know exactly where to get them. More than half the housemates last season had less than 1000 Instagram followers on the day the show started.”

BBNaija past questions booklet is now being sold in traffic

Hmmm naija na wa!

A book containing the past question of the popular reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, is now being sold in traffic.

According to writings seen on the cover of the book, it contains questions which will help prospective candidates for the reality TV show to shine during the audition.

It claims to also contain advice on how the winner won’t blow off his winnings as fast as Efemoney the 2017 edition winner did.

“With this book, Ebuka and him fellow men no go fit tension you, Instead nah you go tension them. Plus ogbonge ways person no go blow money fast fast like Efe”, it reads.
