Various awards were won, where President Buhari was given an award of African President of the year. But on checking the twitter account of @daarawards where the polls were conducted for each award category, President Paul Kagame came first with 36% of the total vote for the category, President Nana Akufo-Addo came second with 29% while President Buhari came distant third with 18% of the total votes.

The question now is, why was Buhari announced as the winner?
