2019 election: Any vote against Atiku is a vote for Buhari.


1. Having no united force against Buhari: Remember what happened in the 2015 elections when the three major opposition parties coaleased to form a single party to war against the then ruling PDP. They achieved their aim because of their coalition. They wouldn't have achieved that feat if they had presented candidates as ACN, CPC and ANPP platforms respectively.


2. Failure of a third force: Presidential Aspirants Coming Together, PACT was formed with just one aim; to get all New Breed Presidential Aspirants to come together and present one consensus candidate, to collectively wrestle power from the APC and PDP.
The failure of PACT means a plus for Buhari's. The more votes other presidential aspirant share, the less vote for Atiku and the higher the percentage Buhari pulls in the overall vote cast.


3. The 2018 Osun governorship election: The 2018 Osun State governorship election is still fresh in the hearts of people. The bulk votes against the PDP candidate made it easy for the APC candidate to eventually emerge as the winner- not forgetting the other things that transpired.


4. APC and PDP are the main parties: Only APC and PDP have structures in almost all states, local governments and wards in Nigeria. The amount of money possessed by the two main parties is so enormous that it is difficult for any new party to have such amount for campaigns. Many of the other parties may not even have party agents at some local government collation centres, not to talk of polling units.


5. Nigerians are largely uninformed. Despite the high penetration of social media in our society, Nigerians are not politically informed. Most youths use their smart phones for music, sports, romance and gossips, not political news. Most don't get acquainted with socio-economic happenings in the country, yet they need good jobs, infrastructures and so on.
Many presidential aspirants depend on the campaign done on social media to seek the support of youths, yet most youth don't even have their PVC's, while many are even ready to sell their votes as they conclude that their votes don't count.

@ademat I go with the capitalists...We have many options to vote for apart from buhari and atiku,but the question is,does this third force parties have the required structure to win this election?,the answer is definitely No! Go to villages ,all they know over there is PDP and APC..To me if you vote any other candidate,is a vote for buhari..
