once a moral compass becomes faulty it can never point in the right direction
Simple the chief justice appears compromised, he has to step aside and prove himself in court and if no fault found returned to his position, why the desperation to hold on to his seat at this critical time when corrupt politicians are desperate for a compromised judiciary

Are you this politically and constitutionally ignorant or trying to be mischievous? How dare you compare CJN with ministers?

Those who have left the substance of the matter, which is non-declaration of assets, to embark on a wild goose chase must know that they are part of the problems of this country.
Those cheering the CJN have been busy trying to depict the issue as executive interference in another arm of government.
They are failing to realise an important fact that those who have the privilege of holding exalted offices in trust for the rest of Nigerians should lead by example.

It was speculative for some commentators to think that the CJN was being targeted so that he could be removed and replaced with someone who will work in the interest of the government in the February elections.
The most important question should be whether the CJN broke the law or not in failing to declare his assets.

One major and incontrovertible fact which has emerged from the controversy over the CJN’s alleged failure to declare his assets is his own reported admission that he made a mistake by forgetting to declare a number of his assets.
The number one judicial officer is also reported to have expressed ignorance about the time space within which he should have made the declaration.”

We are not talking of a magistrate or a high court judge but a judge of the Supreme Court, who happens to be the number one judicial officer of the land; we must forget sentiments and look at facts.”

The posturing of some South-South governors in defence of the CJN should be treated as treason since they swore to protect and preserve the constitution.

You're sensible for your unbiased opinion..... This is what I expect from every well meaning Nigerians ......not all those wailing and supporting the suspended cjn ......damn it, he's the cjn and should understand better, moreover he can always appeal his case if he truly has nothing to fear.....people shouting ganduje of kano, are you all senseless, so you expect buhari to suspend him or what, he's an ELECTED GOVERNOR not appointed by the president, so only the court or house of assembly can suspend him......
Nigerians , use your brain when criticising , I love buhari, he doesnt care about all your useless noise, he's not a weakling like jonathan

You're a government apologist plain and simple. Buhari claimed ignorance of the IG flouting his orders. Him and his Vice denied they got the disability bill which he just signed into law last week. I didn't see you write so meticulously then. Let me inform you that loyalty to the president does not equate loyalty to the nation. Everyone knows that Buhari was never comfortable with Onnoghen. So all this shenanigans are due to that fact. If you fail to see that, then your condition is irredeemable

But the man is a fool to have been depositing cash into his personal account, not even a company account. Monies that can be very easily traced! Just take your BVN to the CBN and all your financial transactions in Nigeria pops up!

Goodbye The Nigerian Legal system, all lawyers and lawyer wannabes can as well pack their load...Even the common man last hope is gone. What we now have is a chaotic system of the Jungle where Only the strongest survive and God help you if u are not.Welcome to the Next Level and I should add, the Beginning of the End Nigeria as you know her.

Sure, the beginning of the end for you. But for us it is just the end of the beginning of new Nigeria. You are allowed to wail. It is part of democracy.

This is 1984 style military coup!

This Justice Tanko, how clean is he??

Can we see the papersmof his asset declaration?

Is justice Tanko operating a single account

The fact we all know is that all the justices in Nigeria have registered company(ies) which are registered and run by others on their behalf. It won't be easy to find a Justice without a business registered and run on their behalf.

Justice Onoghen has just been treated as a guilty person even while he ought to benefit from the rule of presumption of innocence.

I need to be convinced that justice Tanko has only his salary as his source of earning. Else I will conclude that once again, Onoghen is suffering the normal SOUTHERN DILEMA

Time will tell if he is clean or not...For now he is the most senior in line. Someone has to be there.

cool cool cool

The way all those corrupt clowns are exhausting their all on this matter in disguise of morality is just making me laff...running helter skelter trying to trigger a constitutional crisis because of a corrupt CJN that has clearly been doing their bidding.

Buhari can't tackle the kind of monumental corruption Nigeria has been eroded in, democratically!!

If possible the constitution should be suspended along with the CJN sef angry
