Naomi Osaka made N1billion from the just concluded Australian Open, after beating Petra Kvitova 7-6 (2) 5-7 6-4 in a dramatic final.

The first grand slam of the year 2019 proved to be highly entertaining, as Japanese youngster went home with the trophy.

Beating Serana in the US Open final last September is one thing, winning back to back grand slam title is another big thing.

Naomi Osaka said she was in a state of shock after winning the Australian Open 2019, the 21-year-old said;

“I felt like I was in a state of shock through the entire trophy presentation’

The youngster will collect a $4.1 million AUD check, which is over One Billion Naira. The runner-up, Petra Kvitova will earn half that amount: $2.05 million AUD.
