[b]"The region was occupied by humans for at least 2,500 years until around 1,700 BCE, when its farming settlements and cities were suddenly abandoned and people did not return to the region for 600 to 700 years. Tall el-Hammam was apparently destroyed, as the remains of mud-brick walls suggest. Pieces of pottery recovered and dated to the same time of the destruction of the city show evidence of intense heat. The outer layers of the vessels and other objects made from clay partially melted, forming a glassy coat."

"In an alternative scenario, researchers propose that a comet, composed mostly of ice, may have exploded above the desert. The generated heat burst, an estimated 3,600°F, would be sufficient to destroy the city, melt the artifacts and rocks, but leave no crater behind. Layers of spherules, used in the study to argue for a large explosion, can also form slowly over time. As shooting stars disintegrate in Earth's atmosphere, the spherules fall from the sky and can become concentrated in layers by geological processes, like erosion and deposition."

All what you described are the effects of nuclear weaponry. Those cities were nuked.
One faction of gods were fighting against another. Some of those places are still radioactive. The truth is suppressed because they can't,won't or let you know that there were civilizations that were more advanced than our current one. All these PCs,nuclear weapons etc existed long ago. Only the people involved annihilated themselves. We're just rediscovering their exploits. Any new invention is a lie. They stole it or rediscovered it.

And the Bible is not supposed to be taken literally. Elijah's chariot of fire was something else. But it could only be described according to their culture then. Bring a stone age man to 2019 & show him a fighter jet & space station. How do you think he would explain it to his folks back home? Probably as a fierce bird on wheels that coughs fire & giant hut that flies. Now someone reading the same thing centuries later...will be quite naive to believe a bird could cough fire unless he knew what a jet looks like.

If l should lend my voice to this: Trace the incidence of nuking of Sodom and Gomorrah to the aliens who modified man to what it is now whom we had been calling God(s) all the while.

Indeed the "Chariots of fire" are nothing but spaceships. Aliens had been here right from time and their footprints are all around the place the place. The Christian mind is just properly tightened to allow for information as this even though they read about the aliens every time in the Bible.

The Book of Revelations in the Bible is indeed a foretelling of events to come. This however has nothing to do with converting to any religion. Love is and would remain the yardstick for judging those who will make it to the New earth or 'heavens'.

Quote from biased Forbes (by the way I love reading from the confused skeptics/atheists on this sort of thingsmiley ) https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidbressan/2018/11/29/is-the-biblical-destruction-of-sodom-and-gomorrah-based-on-a-real-life-impact-event/
