Since last Thursday's 'The Candidate' which featured the PDP presidential candidate and his vice, lots of thoughts flooded my mind but these particular ones stood: Anyone who understands the way we play our politics in Nigeria can easily guess, that event, 'The Candidate', was set up on NTA in order to make President Buhari escape the probable onslaught that might arise from his performance or absence from already scheduled presidential debate. So, to make it have a national acceptance they had to feature Atiku/Obi. But they miscalculated! They featured them last so they can have enough artillery to be used against them going into the presidential election coming up in 2 weeks time. But the plot backfired! Atiku and Obi came out of the furnace unhurt like the sons of God Most High! And like Joseph, they can boldly say, "You intended to harm [us], but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." -Genesis 50:20. So, I Say, "Congratulations Nigerians!!!"

You are right. The whole programme was aimed at packaging a platform to market Buhari to the nation and give him some credence since they had planned to miss the debate abinitio.

Incidentally, they set a trap for Atiku and the PDP aimed at ridiculing them on National TV. The script was well hatched even before the program was started. That was why Atiku came last. Ask yourself, we still have up to two Wednesdays before the presidential elections, why aren't they interviewing any more presidential candidate. Because the hatchet was to kill off Atiku's career and nothing more after that.

But that which they planned for evil, God turned for good.
