Three men who fraudulently carried out transaction on shares of dead people, have been arraigned before a  Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on an eight-count charge bordering on money laundering, conversion and retaining of proceeds to the tune of N34, 000, 000 (Thirty Four Million naira) only.
The suspects identified as Kasumu Ademola, Salau Mikailu and Ganiyu Isola, who were arraigned alongside a stock brokerage firm, CSL Stock Brokers, were arrested after the EFCC received a complaint from Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the three men carried out transaction on the shares of dead people, and also cleared their dividend warrants.

Dividend warrants and share certificates, were reportedly recovered from the suspects who pleaded 'not guilty' to the charges. The case was adjourned till February 8, 2019 by Justice Aneke, who further ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison pending the determination of their bail applications.
