The present mindsets of many Nigerians are that votes do not count. Elections will be rigged. But I want to put it to you that this forthcoming election cannot be rigged as INEC has put in place a mechanism to make the process fair and credible. So, make sure you go out to vote.

The Smart Card Reader (SCR for short) has an icon where the presiding officer COMMUNICATE the results to INEC server directly. This result is based on numbers of accredited voters in the polling unit.

Hence, no matter what happens in a polling unit, if the number of votes is higher than the number of accredited voters, the election in that polling unit is declare NULL AND VOID.

You also need to know that this election is not the type that you do accreditation and go back home. No! Once you are through with accreditation, you move to where you are to vote instantly.

More so, INEC has created VOTING POINTS an extension of polling unit. Every polling unit with more than 500 registered voters will have voting points. This is to reduce the usual queues during voting.

Fellow Nigerians, let's believe and support INEC this time, the commission is really making progress in conducting a free, fair, credible election. We should believe in them and we should all go out to vote for our preferred candidates.

If the election is not rigged at the polling unit, it cannot be rigged at the national level. Just demand for number of accredited voters, number of valid votes and number of rejected votes.

It is part of INEC's rule. Since INEC is recognised by the constitution, therefore it rules of engagement will be respected by the constitution except where it goes against the constitution.
