More than 85% of the staff and students of the school are from outside Nigeria. It is the most diverse school in Nigeria and I believe it's worth it.
Because their teachers are foreigners doesn't mean they're qualified. SCAM!

If there is one thing I've learned about these schools, it's that there are thousands of legitimately wealthy Nigerians. If you visit schools like AISL, Lekki British School, Grange School, BIS, Loyola Jesuit, Greensprings School and 'other highbrow' schools in Lagos and Abuja, you will realize there are several successful Nigerians(who have never been in government but are doing very well in their fields) that can afford this education for their children.

If you can afford it, then give it a shot. Your kids deserve the best...

Buharist socialists will soon come here and say they are rich because of corruption proceeds grin

My secondary school used to share a compound with their Abuja branch in Maitama, before they moved over to their permanent site. It's mostly foreigners that attended the school.
Passion2009:

They have over 760 students according to their website : www.aislagos.org

There are many private high(secondary) schools in the United States that are more expensive than this. (You can check Google). I think it's a matter of choice and affordability. There are families who don't want their kids to travel abroad in their formative years but they want them to get the "most international" education as possible in Nigeria. American International School, Lagos(and I think they have another branch in Abuja) is the only AUTHENTIC international school in Nigeria that is largely run by expatriates. More than 80% of their staff are from countries outside Nigeria and there are people who are willing to cough out anything for such world-class diversity.

If I have the means, I will send my kids there.

People don't look at the monetary cost but the non-quantifiable benefits.

Your kids will build a powerful network that will come handy later in life. I know what I am saying.

You as a parent will build a network with other parents that will come handy.

only poor people will see the money as waste but business minded parents will always see opportunity

But how can a school in Nigeria have 85%of its staff as foreigners? I believe some labour laws are being broken, even if the school is run by the US embassy. Do embassies run schools?
NLC will not see this one now. See what is happening under our nose.

You will pay a workforce of 80% expatriates 30,000naira?

Read about their staff below.

https://www.aislagos.org/admissions/welcome-to-aisl

No staff(including gate man) earns below 100k at AISL - most of their teachers earn far above 300k naira per month after conversion from dollars. This is a fact I know.
the school get fine girls ooo

As someone that studied in one of the top 100 best university in the world, I can confirm this. Honestly, I don't think I learnt anything special, it's more on the prestige and powerful network that I still cultivate from unto this day.

Also, attending such schools gives a certain kind of confidence, the deep seated feeling that you're competent and won't be assumed not to be. And to have global friends, being invited to high end events and benefits from being the early bird to be notified of deals and opportunities. The benefit is huge.

Like the old saying, your network is your net worth. With such a diverse community spanning from top-notch individuals in entertainment and diplomacy, businessmen to lawyers, the money is a merger in the long run. Most likely, those kids ain't graduating to look for jobs, but to manage companies of their parents or build theirs, with the convenient of such powerful network.

AIS is school for the few, those with silver spoons. Though the teachers are also well paid and facilities that aid better learning is available. But government can do better than that this if not for the corruption.

Lol they plenty die.. Davido na even lower class when it comes to riches..

Maybe you don't go out. People are living in luxury. I have relatives who aren't celebs or public figures but their wealth no be here.

only about 1% of the Nigerian population can afford that.

That's the point, how many Davido's are there in Nigeria anyways

If I tell you the number of billionaires in this country, you go shock.
People wey get over $1m for their domiciliary account Na Sara. Although poor people still plenty pass. Trust me, over 25% of Nigerians parents(not politicians) can easily afford to send their wards to this kinda school. But some prefer to send them abroad instead. The most expensive schools in the world have Nigerian kids.

Yes. Davido's first daughter(Imade Adeleke) schools there - American International School, Lagos. Likewise Tiwa Savage's son - Jam Jam.

Apart from celebs, there are thousands of Nigerians that can easily afford such luxurious school. The school presently has over 750 students in Lagos alone.

As expensive as this particular school is, if you don't put in for admission in time - you won't be able to secure any space for your child especially at secondary school level.

less than 1% of Nigerians can afford that really. Don't have anything against those who can afford it but they are just a tiny speck in the Nigerian population.

Blame it on the value of the Naira, before PMB became president Naira was about N150 to One dollar, this translate to about 4 5million Naira a year which is less than what many secondary schools in Nigeria charge.

It is really insanely expensive. What is the special impact the schools make on the kids that our circular schools dont??

I can enrol my ward for 300-400k per annum in a good circular school and use the remaining 10million to produce further wealth. Personal though
