Good evening people.

I wan to ask the following questions;

1. If one does not meet the proposed merit cut off mark for one's applied course (mine is MBBS in particular), is it only those who are maximum of 1 point short of the cut off mark that may later considered?

2. This act of consideration of some candidates who are very close to the cut off mark is it every year they do it?

3. In case of doubt, one may want to change to another course to be on a safer side, willthis act of changing one's course hinder one from being considered for the original course he applied for? I mean if they want to consider a candidate for his original course because he is close to the cut off mark but he has changed his course to another one, will that stop them from giving him his first applied course.

4. In the year 2017, the cut off mark was 71.88, does anybody know of candidates that later got MBBS though they are close to the cut off mark but a little more than a point. As in do you know anybody in MBBS department with a score like 70.5. Likewise 2018, when the cut off mark was 76.5, are there candidates that got in with 75 (ie they are 1.5 marks below the cut off)?

I ask the above questions because I am 1.125 below the leaked cut off mark for MBBS today. I had 77 and the leaked cut off mark is 78.125

Pls help a brother

To start with, the cut off mark they acclaimed is leaked bis false. College of medicine decides their cut off today. I know vet and pharmacy did theirs yesterday and it is 57 and 72 respectively.

To your questions.
1. The number of people to be considered depends on the left and that determines the mark. Not really that those 1 mark below

2. They do when the quote is yet to be filled. For example, in 2025, MBBS admitted all 13 students or there about with 73 score despite the cut off being 74 just to fill quota. I think same for law

3. Changing course is the best idea. If your most preferred course (MBBS in this case) considers you for admission, you name would not be part of those that would be sent to other departments as COC candidates. Even if it is, your admission in MBBS remains the authentic ones. Not doing change of course means you're not interested in any other course at all, chances of being considered for any course is almost zero

Please, I do understand that a lot of rumours will be flying around now, stay away from news that would increase the chance of turbulent flow in your vessels ( you'll know the meaning when you finally gain admission to MBBS grin grin grin grin grin ).

Enjoy smiley . I greet everyone here, please be calm, I'll do well to keep you updated with any cut off I hear of today

Don't try it. Automatic disqualification, your choices won't match even if you get the admission

Here's the cut off

I felicitate with everyone who beat the cut off, accept my sincere congratulations.
To those who didn't but scored above 50, you still have hope.
And those who scored below 50, it's not the end. Most UI students wrote the postume twice or more. One of my friend who scored 91 this year (the second highest score) wrote with us even in 2017. It's not the end, it's just another opportunity for you to come back stronger
