BREAKING!!! Buhari Withdraws All Security From A'kwa Ibom Govt House, Udom Cries Out


The executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel has cried out over the withdrawal of all security services at the government house, few hours to the Presidential election.


Governor Udom in a press release sent to Igbere TV through his Commissioner of Information & Strategy, Charles Udoh implored President and commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed forces to restore all the security apparatus in the state.

He urged eligible voters to go to their respective polling units to cast their votes in an orderly manner without fear of intimidation.


It reads : "The Nigerian Army has withdrawn all forms of security protection from the Akwa Ibom State Government House. This directive which has already been enforced signals an all-time low in the history of the democracy in Nigeria."

"It is inconceivable that Akwa Ibom Government House has been singled out in the Niger Delta region, as a focal point for such an ill-advised action at a crucial time like this."

"The Government and people of Akwa Ibom State therefore implore the President and commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed forces to restore all security apparatus deserving of a sitting Governor to the Akwa Ibom State Government House".

"Recall that recently, the immediate past Police Commissioner in the state had also shown visible signs of partisanship against the state government, which nearly resulted in a constitutional crisis in the state."

"Despite this blatant act of intimidation, the Government and people of Akwa Ibom state remain resolute in the quest to protect democracy and the rule of law without compromising the air peace, enjoyed in the state."

"All eligible voters are enjoined to go to their respective polling units to cast their votes in an orderly manner without fear of intimidation."

According to the above statement, only personnel of the Nigeria Army were withdrawn. If he still enjoys protection from police and DSS personnel, then this outcry is unnecessary. Awka Ibom is a battleground state, the governor should be protected and at the same time should not be allowed to use security operatives to the advantage of his party.


I strongly support the move by security agencies to temporarily cut down the number of personnel attached to political office holders. They can restore their full security once voting ends tomorrow. We must avoid any situation that can compromise tomorrow’s election.

Akwa Ibom Govt floods state with thugs

…400 arrested in hideouts

The police in Akwa Ibom state on Friday morning arrested 400 thugs in Uyo, the state capital. The thugs were arrested in their hideout in D’Angelo Hotel, Ewet Housing Estate.
Police inspector Jeremiah Dogo said the ‘arrest was made possible by the deployment of extra policemen to the state by the IGP.’

Inspector Dogo said that the suspects confessed that they were brought in from Bayelsa and Rivers states by PDP chieftains to help rig the general elections.

The hotel where the thugs were nabbed is owned by Mr. Kenneth Okon, former chairman of Etinan LGA and a PDP chieftain in the state, popularly known as White Wayas. The suspects are mostly Ijaw and Kalabari indigenes. Guns and ammunitions were recovered from the thugs.

Police say they have received reports of the various hideouts of the thugs and cultists that have come into the state in the last few days. ‘We will make life unbearable for them,’ a source in the state police command said.

The infiltration of the state with thugs and cultists brings to mind the statement by the director-general of the state governor’s campaign council, Air Commodore Idongesit Nkanga (rtd), that the Governor Udom Emmanuel should prepare for war if he wanted to win the upcoming election.

The speaker of the state house of assembly, Onofiok Luke and Senator Bassey Albert had also said a few months ago that they would kill to ensure the victory of the PDP in the general elections.

Isn't this the same way PDP raised false alarm last year about how the Adelekes accounts were frozen few days to the Osun State elections same way Fayose and his allies claimed his security details have been withdrawn few days to Ekiti elections, with all turning out to be lies and propaganda.
The military withdrew and perhaps redeployed its men because they are needed in volatile places like Borno, Zamfara and the rest.
