Data released by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC has shown that the Federal Government paid a total of N1.628 trillion in the joint venture cash call from January to November 2018. According to the corporation, dollar allocation to the joint venture cash call account took about $3.17billion while the naira took N496.703 billion. The corporation owns about 55 per cent of the joint venture, JV with shell and 60 per cent of all others which are funded by private oil companies as well as the federal government.
