If ATM cards can work in any machine and bank why can't same apply to the PVC

Tech savvy people are not happy about this.

If that is allowed then it means you can register in your constituency then on election day you vote in another constituency thereby electing someone you don't know and won't impact on your immediate environment.

It can't even be done in a presidential election because to be a president, one must have at least 25% of votes cast in 2/3 of the 36 states and the FCT. How can you achieve that when everyone that registered in Anambra votes in Lagos?

Thank you for your input but there has to be a way out. Its insane travelling to vote in this 21st century.

It can be done. Those who wish to vote in the polling units in their LGA of origin would need to travel and cast their votes. Very simple. It would save inec the cost of relocating persons

I agree.

The only problem we still have in Nigeria is state of origin. If your state of residence becomes your state where you can be voted for and the political decisions there affect you positively, I don't see the need to travel far to vote or aspire to be voted for.
