A senior Roman Catholic Cardinal has said that files documenting child sexual abuse were destroyed, allowing offences to continue.

The outside world was horrified by the claims of the Cardinal in charge of the Pope's efforts to clean up the sexual antics of priests and high church officials. The Pope's priests' sex abuse panel was told that the Church hierarchy has, over the years, habitually and clandestinely destroyed files on sex abuse incidents reported against priests and Cardinals of the Church in order to cover up these incidents.

Cardinal Reinhard Marx told a conference on paedophilia in the Church that procedures to prosecute offenders "were deliberately not complied with", a euphemism for gross official cover ups.

Paedophilia In High Places

This must be a distressing piece of news to some of our Roman Catholic friends who still believe their ‘holy fathers’ are infallible.

The Catholic Church hierarchy is being dragged, kicking and screaming, to the fact that enforced celibacy is not only against human nature but a fraud.
