Two of the three serving senators in Ondo State of the All Progressives Congress(APC) lost their re-election bids following defeat by their People's Democratic Party(PDP) rivals.

- Ondo North

(current)Senator Ajayi Boroffice of APC defeated the AA & PDP candidates Dr. Tunji Abayomi and Segun Alonge respectively



- Ondo Central

PDP's Senator Ayo Akinyelure defeated APC's (current) Senator Tayo Alasoadura and ZLP candidate/former governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko



- Ondo South

Nicholas Tofowomo of PDP defeated APC's (current) Senator Yele Omogunwa

The only senator which Rotimi Akeredolu was working passionately against his reelection eventually won a reelection.

Boroffice ba strong man o, winning against the governor from the same senatorial district.

The dramatic turn of events in this 2019 election will forever remains indelible in the annals of this nation.

Nice outing for PDP.

Shame on Akeredolu. Ondo State was handed to him on a platter of gold and he’s making a mess of it. Kudos to Asiwaju and Oshiomhole for insisting that Boroffice must fly the party’s flag in Ondo north. If not, APC would have lost all the three senatorial seats.

I am also happy about Alasoadura’s loss. With this defeat, he’s finished politically. He can no relocate to Ilorin to continue licking Saraki’s stinking ass since both of them are not going to Abuja again. This is the price you pay for betraying your own party.
