To any Android Dev seeing this, I just discovered something interesting, I'm currently working on a music player and anytime I work on something, I often compare it with lots of successful similar apps, e.g boomplay

Now you would definitely have boomplay on your mobile and one thing I noticed about boomplay is that, no matter how much you clear recent apps, the notification controller won't just leave, which means it doesn't get destroyed by the OS.

I actually just found what they did, AudioManager.onAudioFocusChangedListner is all they implemented on their audio player service, and that's all, as long as you have it listening to audio focus changes, audio service will never get destroyed except it is manually destroyed....

As a matter of fact, every other music player I have gets destroyed when all recent apps are cleared, Bug or feature? Or I'm just using useless music players ? );
