Dear all
I am in need of a competent mechanic that will do a valve adjustment on my wife's 2000 crv.
The car overheated and blew the gasket due to a leaky radiator.
The engine was de coupled, resurfaced and thevgasket replaced.
Everything is now okay except the car now has a tick tick tick tapping sound. Mechanic says valves require adjustment.

I have done my online research on fixing the valve adjustment.
From what i read there are two sides " exhaust side" and "intake side".
Using feeler gauges Valves are adjusted rotating Cam so the Up sign faces 180degress fixing in the order of cyl 1, cyl 3, cyl 4 and then cyl 2.

I doubt my mechanic is knowledgeable the way its explained on honda online forum.

how is the work is the learned exprienced? Is the car still making the click sounds after adjustment if no please drop the guy contacts my owner manual says mine needs adjustment at 100k miles still in 35k anyways
