If they had done this, then it would have been a huge disservice to humanity as so many social media users, tens of thousands of nairalanders and most importantly the guy that parked the car would not learn that its illegal to block or impede access to a fire hydrant by any object whatsoever

Na senior member of the opposition party for that country get the car. It can also happen in Nigeria here if the car belong to any member of opposition party. E.g Fani-Kayode, Saraki, Obi, Atiku and his family, including myself here...

It's all over the social that the owner of the said car is a Nigerian and the name and pics of the Nigerian was not revealed making it a difficult job for NCAN

The law doesn't permit car owners park cars by the fire hydrant. Though you have a reasonable point, that car owner was wickedly taught a lesson

Definitely, I believe there's a restriction signage against parking within the fire hydrant zone. For the fellow that parked the vehicle, he/she must have gone through driving lessons which includes traffic uses and have a valid licence. So the rules must apply to that fellow.

They were doing their job.The car owner is at fault here.

They should have passed it under the car, it's wickedness.

There's a few of them in Lagos, many sef. Try to notice when moving around. I've seen in abeokuta too. You just don't notice cos you don't expect to find them

There's no problem or big deal on having them. With no inspection routine and service its useless.

That hose is too big to conveniently go under the car as can be seen clearly from the picture. Also the flow of water might the obstructed because we don't know how high they intend lifting the hose at the other end.
