Religious
When you ask a religious person (let's say a priest) a question that's bothering you, there are two things involved:

1. He knows the answer and picks his religious book (perhaps Bible) and show you the scriptures... The book has said all you need to know, you don't need to argue

2. He doesn't know the answer, he calls it a miracle, saying "nothing is impossible in the sight of God" or "you don't understand spiritual things". Yes, you still shouldn't argue.

Science
When you ask a scientist (or any zealously curious person) a question, there are two things involved:

1. He knows the answer so he finds facts to show to you. Sometimes, you still have questions because you don't really grasp the facts, he'll try to break things down to the minimum so you can understand from scratch and shout okaaaaaaaay!!!. Whatever question or argument you raise, he'll never stop looking for a means to answer or argue back

2. He doesn't know the answer, he takes your question as a challenge. In the world of science, "miracle" is something "not understood *yet*". He takes his time to research, sometimes you assist him. This time, you know that he really wants to know the answer of your question, he'll help you, you're very grateful.

Now let's compare
1. Religion is nothing but an expression of laziness. Religious leaders are lazy, they rely fully on a book (or on other books which rely on that same book) to satisfy the curiosity of people.

2. Religious people are not really satisfied with what they learn (as least they think they're learning something), they end up doing something else, doing something not in their book (acting as if they're confused).

Confusion comes only when you think you know what you don't know or when you don't know what you should know.

3. Science wants to explain things to you. Not matter the errors you make, you'll surely come up with the answer and/or solution one day.

4. Then again, to be religious or to be curious, I think it depends on the individual. Some people don't have the energy to stress themselves, no time for too much thinking. They'll just feel satisfied when they read a verse or when they hear from their spiritual fathers. Other people accept everything and question everything. They yearn for true knowledge, they really want to know.

Which one are you?

I struggle to see where bigotry came in from the analysis you gave in your post. Does believing in miracles now make one a bigot? If I am to judge, I will say you are the hateful person here for you to be asserting that any religious person is a lazy person. Dangote, Tony elumelu, Folorunsho Alakija, Abdulsamad Rabiu, PMB, Pastor Osinbajo, Peter Obi e.t.c all very religious people and you just used one hypocritical brush to paint all of them as lazy people when you probably may never be able to achieve what they have achieved in life

Am taking the part in bold offensive.

For the other parts, there's a difference between believing in God/miracles and being religious.

All am pointing at is this: before you conclude that something is a miracle, find answers first
