(2) You may have migraine headache and may be subjected to taking, say, puriton and paracetamol, nonstop, and by doctor's prescription. Please locate the nearest CHAI centre. They give Hep c drug at a subsidized rate. I know of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia, Geeral Hospital Keffi also runs the program. There is a centre in LUTH but i dont know how functional it is.

No Sir... You can live with HCV for years without symptoms.. You can even live with HIV for years without symptoms.. All depends on your immune system. Have had cases of people living with both infections without treatment and are doing just fine... Important thing is to maintain a healthy lifestyle.. If u go for viral load test and its low and still without symptoms just live a healthy lifestyle... For HIV is even of recent we started test and treat.. That is if you tested positive you will be started on treatment.. Before u have to go for CD4 count test and you can only be started on treatment if your CD4 count is less than 500. If I wil advice you just live a healthy lifestyle.

1. Hepatitis C is curable.
2. I advise you do hepatitis b test too and if you test negative, pls go and take the vaccine. It saves.
3. Visit Nigeria Institute of Medical Research, Yaba and do Viral load at 20,000.
4. Nimr will place you on Sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir, the most effective direct acting retroviral hepatitis c drugs. They are very expensive and you will take it for three months.
5. For now, avoid alcohol, red meat, fatty and oily food, drink lots of water.
6. I once had hepatitis c. So you have nothing to fear.
