It was a black Monday for students in the Department of Computer Science, Federal Polytechnic Auchi, Edo State, after a final year student (HND 2) was crushed to death in a ghastly motor accident.

According to an eyewitness, the 26-year-old victim identified as Stanley Okoro, was trying to conclude his seminar work which he was supposed to have defended on Thursday this week before the accident happened.

He was said to have been on a motorcycle with his course mate when they had a collision with another bike which resulted to the duo falling to the ground. Then one of the official cars assigned to a Student Union Government (SUG), ran into Stanley and crushed his head to pieces.

Stanley, until his death, hailed from Ika North Local Government Area (Agbor) of Delta state.

May his soul rest in peace.

A good manager / administrator delegates effectively to his subordinates to achieve set targets.

In this case, the SUG President delegated death to this hapless simpleton & he carried out his task with minimal stress.

We need more selfless employees like this if Nigeria is to move forward.

This is really Pathetic and I feel for the deceased and the parents. I'm weeping as I type this, but truth be told.

1. Ideally we shouldn't have a society that Motorbike should be a means of transportation
2. If it is a means, why was there no helmet used to avoid head crushing?
3. The two bikes that coliided must have been speeding to have had a crash
4. Sug bus driver is not professional and was definitely on high speed within the school premises that speed limit ought to be 40KMPH

was it avoidable? yes it was
