So much as economic and social development projects are laudable, it is what is taught about the Lord Jesus Christ in a religious facility that is the issue.

The Winners Chapel is an anti-Christ organization. It is set up to process souls of men to hell in a highly deceptive mass production manner .

That cannot be a good thing, can it?

Twisting the words of God in the Bible and EXTRACTING LIVE SNAKES AND SCORPIONS from the bodies of devotees are practices native to Hinduism and the occult, NOT BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY

THE WINNERS CHAPEL IS A HINDU RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION.

The name of the Lord Jesus Christ is mentioned there only as a deception

Wise ones run from such Enterprises.

IS THE WINNERS CHAPEL A CHRISTIAN CHURCH?

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 4:2

That's more than any godly person can say about Mr Oyedepo

Is the Winners Chapel a Christian church?

You must answer that question.

Nice.
Better than d competition to own the biggest church building.
Even if they aren't adding it to the national grid,Nigerians will have more electricity at their disposal when winners chapel goes off the national grid.

Winner chapel (Canaanland) was never in the national grid of whatsoever...they've been generating them light since 1999 when they move to that site .

I use it alone. I don't give to others for monetary compensation. Unless its gonna be free of charge, which I doubt. Plus its even incompatible with current legislation

Christiandom is under attack, the new one now in vogue is pastor will call out your bank name, account number and give you your account balance and ask for a percentage of that fund because God has need for it. How did we get here?
This is nothing but sorcery

I thought there is a clause in the power ACT that says you can't generate more than 5MW..

If anything is more than this, you have to send it to the national grid?

How did Winners Operate their current 15mW without disturbance from FG?

What's stopping lagos state from generating, transmitting and distributing power to their state instead of just constructing NIPP and sending it to national grid?

Pls let's have honest debate about this without fight

20MW actually. 15MW is still within the law. A 1000MW is still a No No as at friday

Govt is supposed to provide electricity, roads and all that, but you have organizations having to intervene and you are still asking for taxes that are not well managed.
Do you think Oyedepo's house alone can consume 1000MW. Is it not some Nigerians that would benefit from the light?
Well said grin

they are obviously doing it to ridicule the Nigerian government......the megawatts can power a full state.

cannaland doesn't need such power..they need less than 100MW...even araria market power plants buhari commissioned isn't up to 20MW

I hope they extend it to the community around and not just winners alone. We need more audacious projects like this in Nigeria

Them building there own alone has reduced the stress from the national grid.

In my opinion, Nigeria needs visionary leaders like Bishop David Oyedepo, to run the affairs of our country. If the cleric would, it would be a great service to his Nation, and to the faith. A lack of purposeful leadership is the reason Nigeria is where it is today.

And they don't want to be taxed?
Anyway, its just a rumour and impossible with current NERC regulations. If you generate more than 20MW, you have to pump it into the national grid first. Its a stupid law, but it's the current law. So unless they want to generate and sell to the whole country, a 1000MW plant is a no no. Better multiple 15mw in several locations(which will be costlier to operate and maintain)
Nigeria has stupid laws sha

Okay so na now you know say without restructuring there is no hope. Mark you the owners of Nigeria want it like that so just lament but steer clear. Nigeria is one huge crab basket.

Great news... Hope government won't force them to connect to the national grid when it becomes operational

by law they will add it to national grid... but that 1000MW is a $1BN dollar project can they pull it through.

Don't say so, the church has plans for mass housing on high rise buildings in its later phases. So when you are talking about 24/7 electricity it may be needed. And I know someone like oyedepo will sell to industries in Ogun state. The church was initially buying light from one plant in ogun around 2013 so nothing stops them from selling also.

That church runs like a corporate entity.

No problem with that. They are doing good things.

Private investors are the key to Nigeria achieving stable electricity.
Imagine if all the money going into the oil and gas sector were chanelled into power production.
The govt just has to find a way to streamline the power sector, because investors aren't putting much money there because they are not guaranteed of their maximum ROI.
We need to make the power sector profitable, just like the oil and gas sector, and we just might get it right.

To solve power issue is quite easier than many people are made to believe... Infact, it's easy. Just vote a working government and voila, in 4 years, u are already enjoying electricity

Amazing stuff... But they already have one fully functional power plant at canaancity phase 1.. I think they are doing the plants in little bits of 5-15MW which is ok. It may be impossible to construct one single plant that gives 1000MW.

I don't understand the regulations though because rccg plant is 25MW which exceeds the regulations people are citing.
Hopefully, they are able to give light to surrounding communities as was early planned.

That useless regulation need to be scrapped asap.
