Atiku made so many mistakes in this campaign. He may have his reasons but many members of PDP who fought to keep the party alive when Atiku, Saraki & co sojourned in APC were sidelined from Makarfis, David Marks to Ekweremadus. No 'true' PDP member was found worthy as Vice Presidential candidate. Peter Obi is originally APGA.
kicking against peter obis candidature renders your comment unreasonable. peter obi is the arguably the most credible Igbo man now with exposure and experience. in fact if Nigeria is a normal country inhabited by humans peter obi would have been voted in as president by all and sundry but unfortunately this is a zoo

OGD was definitely short changed after the PDP presidential primary. He won the ticket for Atiku but the party hawks that he fought on behalf of Atiku turned against him and ensured he was sidelined for Saraki. Saraki eventually led a shambolic campaign that saw eight people emerge as campaign spokesperson. The party was roundly beaten and the rest is now history.

We welcome OGD to APC. He is an omoluabi who just happened to have wandered to PDP in search of political power. Since Nigeria’s politics is devoid of principle and ideology, nobody should blame him for retracing his steps. Leaving the dying PDP at this point is a good decision.
bet with me he will come back to PDP before and after 2023 election when APC must have turned to Yoruba party. from the body language of bubu he gives no bleep about party anymore so long as he won't ask anyone for votes and come 2023 PDP will surely reclaim power by fielding a northern candidates.

You mean out of all the accomplished Igbo men and women in PDP from 1998 at formation till date, none is as qualified as Peter Obi let alone being more qualified? If your answer is affirmative, then you are either just being mischievous or you are downright myopic.

You hit the point!
Atiku was defeated from inside ranks...

Northern Christians are bitter at PDP for continously picking a Muslim everytime Presidency is zoned to North. Even when zoned to South, they never see fit to pick a Northern Christian as VP....its always a Muslim.

Add on top of that the defector issue you pointed out. The Presidential candidate was a defector, the VP was a defector, the Director General of the Campaign was a defector. It doesnt take much to see how the contest would end. Local politics in places like Oyo, Ondo, Kano, Sokoto, Imo, that have turned people away from their governors is what gave Atiku some boost. Over 4million gap between Buhari and Atiku. Now, imagine that people of Oyo, Ondo, Kano, Sokoto, Imo did not have issues at local level and had voted in line with APC....that gap would be close to 7million.

When Wike sidelined SW and made the statement about SW looking for harvest where it did not sow, and then they picked VP from SE and began a PR that Jennifer was the most befitting for First Lady if Atiku won, I knew Ibos were positioning to hijack Atiku administration like they did GEJ and a repeat of SW marginalization was loading. It was clear to see.

In Lagos we actually circulated this possibility around and away from social media. Gbenga Daniel thought he would be made SGF but it would not go that way at all. An Atiku win would have become an instrument of reprisal against SW for its support of Buhari in 2015 against GEJ.

We have polarized politically. PDP is now accepted as a party of SS/SE and APC as a party of SW and NW. NC and NE are swing zones.
that fear of reprisal attack by igbos should be retained bro. we can't forget. a Yoruba man won't be president come 2023. SE/SS are eagerly waiting for tinubu to the me out then you will know how to play bitter politics. we wouldn't mind settling for VP position while supporting an Hausa candidate against tinubu. let's see how tinubu will rule this country.

Afonjas and betrayal na like 5 and 6, even the hausas r well aware of this genetic trait.

OSU and betrayal, very synonymous. It was the OSU among the coup plotters that's betrayed the group and leaked out the secret to ibo leaders such as, Azikiwe who fled the country. Azikiwe couldn't even inform his supposed friend, Ahmadu Bello about the coup. What a Double betrayal! OSU!

What make u think SE/SS that there non-support of APC cannot stop them from emerging winner, will suddenly be in 2023.

Yoruba will not bank on SS/SE to be president.
the better you people realized that yoruba now wake up & know who there enemy is.

the north which you are banking on for presidency will always vote one of their own. ofcus you know how much they love power. remember buhari has been winning elections even without campaign in the north since 2003 but are being neutralised by SS/SE and to some extent SW. if PDP present Kwankwaso come 2023 then brother forget it. and if PDP takes Kano state in this rerun then tinubu shouldn't even contest at all. all this is if bubu will relinquish power to south ooo

Peter is not politically exposed because during the campaign, his influence was limited to Anambra State. He couldn't campaign in neighbouring Enugu or Ebonyi States.
Peter has no quantum political experience as shown by how he has been trounced by Gov. Obiano in both governorship and State assembly elections.
Peter is not acceptable to other regions. Once in Kano for campaign with Kwankwanso, Peter was so out of place that a crucial decision was for him not to be involved in campaigns outside Igbo land. Remember his campaign in Lagos was mainly in markets and Festac Town to target Igbo voters.
Peter has poor "economic dexterity". How he frittered away billions of Naira he saved in form of donations to schools in the twilight of his administration when the State still has immense infrastructural deficit showed his poor economic management sense. By the way, being resource-shrewd, being a trader or being a shareholder in a bank doesn't make one an economic expert.

Now, here are some Igbo 'true' PDP names who can comfortably be VP: Ben Obi, Dubem Onyia, Prof Soludo, Sam Egwu, Okwesilieze Nwodo, Achike Udenwa, etc. so many ex-ministers and ex-legislators who have worked with Nigerians from across Nigeria.
