Further proof that this fulani heathen led government have no plans for Nigeria.
Imagine siting a refinery very far away from the raw materials.

So after factoring in the cost of transportation of raw materials & other miscellaneous expenses, how much will the fuels produced cost?

The only refinery that should be situated in Afonjaland is a skull refinery where skulls are polished before being exported.
Any other refinery is a scam.

Your skull will be the first to be polished and exported. It would give me the greatest satisfaction to do the art work on your head. Stupid Ipob miscreant.

Cc ngadaAwo that's for you to masturbate on.

Okunrinoloro is blind at petrochemical components of the project. This same refinary might end up producing fertilizer for the continent, ethanol, methane distillation butane distillation etc
If the world stopped using petrol today in powering automobile, most of the refinaries will be converted to fertilizer and chemical blending plants.
Crude will also be used for collateral products that will benefit mankind.

What makes you think they've not dug a tunnel or tunnels linking it to Niger delta oil wells or whatever...

That one no concern Dangote. His vision is to improve lives starting from house holds in Africa. Meanwhile Gas is still very much preferred for cooking in African house holds even the ones with 24-7 electricity so they go still buy gas and that’s African wide.

When your goal is to break your own records you would always succeed regardless of what others are doing

In the long term a collosal waste of money.

China, India and Germany have already announced that by the year 2030 which is just 11 years away, they would have fully done away with the use of cars which run on fossil fuels.

Indeed, Sheikh Zaki Yamani, a former Saudi oil minister, once said, “The stone age came to an end not for a lack of stones, and the oil age will end, but not for a lack of oil.”

But Nigerians have never been known for long term strategic thinking or planning.

You guys will suffer the consequences of poor leadership very soon.

You are both right and wrong.
Right bcoz there is a scary fast shift to green energy, our biggest buyer 10 yes ago have stopped/dropped the rate of buying our oil, save China/India...
Wrong because apart from petrol which will likely decline in few years time, other commodities like available fuel, fertilizer and cosmetic industry make use of it's produce..
the question is in the volume

Now my question is where will the oil he will be refining come from?

Will Dangote import crude oil?

Talk to those that know rather than just hyping media nonsense. Petroleum is more than fuels. Your flatscreen tv, cell phone, fertilizer, glasses, petrochemicals, and millions of other products will be in use for thousands of years to come.

How about you let Dangote invest his "own" money as he sees fit in his "private" refinery and you not try and play the role of his financial advisor

How about that?

You make good sense bit truth is the majority of African countries and others around the world are projected to use crude based fuels for another 50 years. Also, remember that there are other products and by products in the value chain from polymers to fertilizers to pharmaceuticals to gas to agro based stuff etc

CRUDE OIL is BLACK GOLD not just OIL. Meanwhile more uses from combination reactions are yet to be uncovered and used in large scale. Unlike COAL crude is a magical oil with infinitesimal opportunities
The only challenge Nigeria may face in the international market is to compete favourably with other crude producers who have more advanced technologies to refine the raw material into high demand products around the world
