don't know if it's a viper.
But damn sure it's a highly venomous one.

Hope you didn't attempt to cook it.

From its scary look, its poison will always be with it either smoked, boiled, fried or barbecued.
I fear this one.

It's very sad that we're ignorantly wasting this beautiful animal.
This snake camouflage to avoid you and not to attack you.
They will soon be extinct and our grand children will only read about them in the newspaper.
They served our ecological systems by killing other rodents that destroy farm lands .

What is this one saying, don't provoke me this night. Snakes that has been attacking my chickens. And what if unknowingly I stepped on it as I was minding my business?

Snakes are not poisonous, they are venomous. These two words are distinguished because of the technicalities involved. A venom needs to be injected into the blood stream to cause harm, that´s why a snake is dangerous when it bites and injects venom with its fangs. while a poison will cause harm when ingested, like some species of frogs.

Looks like an adder at first sight, but an adders tail is fat, not slim.

One thing is sure, is that's a venomous snake.
