Nigeria presently has a number of 152 universities approved
and recognized by the Nigeria University Commission (NUC), though so many Universities has come up claiming to be approved and registered in Nigeria especially the private ones, that is the why the NUC has come out openly to list all accepted Universities in Nigeria, the List reveal currently 40 Federal Universities, 44 State universities and also 68 Private Universities in Nigeria. The main concern here is that everyone desires to attend the top university. that is the reason for ranking universities base on merit (how they perform and what they offer).
