Yes the game will begin then, but Buhari will still campaign for an APC candidate in the North before he leaves office. It will not be the same as when he is the one contesting, but Whosoever he campaighns for, will surely edged out others in the North.

Nah broh, buhari only defeated Obasanjo and GEJ because they were from the south. But Yaradua flogged Buhari mercilessly in 2007, the margin between the two would affirm that. Unlike the margin between those southern Presidents. But me I still think that buhari would defeat Atiku in the north anytime any day, even if the election is conducted million times. Atiku is seen as a liberal Northerner and more like a southerner than a Northerner, the main reason he would always fail woefully in the north.

I still disagree with that submission that the election was written somewhere. Why? Of course those years were full of election malpractices, no doubt!! But why did he defeat both obasanjo and Gej in that same north even though the result was written somewhere?? Or wouldn't they like to have enjoyed a landslide Victory as Yaradua did?? Yaradua family is one of the notable families in political enclave in the North.

Mark my words, their ticket would still go to the north just to retain power. But that may likely disintegrate APC because the southern APC would definitely disagree because its against their power sharing formula enshrined in their constitution
