A former Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Mr. Etekamba Umoren, has said he is confident that Senator Godswill Akpabio will reclaim his mandate at the election tribunal.

Umoren, who was SSG during the governorship tenure of Akpabio, said yesterday in Uyo that evidence abound to prove that the former minority leader of the Senate won the senatorial seat for Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district at the National Assembly elections.

He said results collated from the field showed that Akpabio won in the 11 wards in Essien Udim Local Government Area, but election results were cancelled in the places where the APC won.

He alleged that INEC officials declared the results in favour of the PDP candidate, Mr Christopher Ekpenyong, adding that the tribunal would prove that Akpabio won, and not Ekpenyong.

“APC candidates won at the fields and collation centres but lost in the process of declaring the results by INEC officials; this is unacceptable to us. We have all the evidence and I want to assure you that Senator Akpabio will reclaim his mandate at the tribunal,” he said.

Nonsense, after he lost 9 local government out of 10,
Manage to win only his local government with only
under 2000 votes,
Akpabio bite fingers that feed him, I don't think his state can ever vote him as a local government chairman.

SE don't know how to play politics that's why they are always at the receiving end. They lack political intelligence with their one way traffic. You will hear them beat their chest that no apc can win in their state so they become a one way traffic with poor leaders.
A smart region will be diversified, akapabio winning the Senate is a good option for them to claim Senate president and get some political relevance but no, chest beating won't let them think...

See the sw for example,l with political mafias scattered across the parties, it's a win win
Dullard everywhere. Wondering when Akwa Ibom became a southeast state.

It is tragic seeing how the easterners keep attacking their leader with unquestionable achievements all in the interest to vie for senate president for their abject wallowing terrorising and unsecured region under the platform of APC .
But because of their nonsensical hatred for PMB decided to throw the golden opportunity to we the north easterners and directly or indirectly we are going to benefit from this position.
The wailers can keep wailing.
By the tym north has 80 percent of educated pple in next decade i can assure you that, that is all for IPOB dogs.

God bless Nigeria my country.
