Court Revokes Nnamdi Kanu’s Bail, Orders IPOB Leader’s Arrest by abedeco: 12:54pm On Mar 28, 2019
An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has revoked the bail earlier granted to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The court presided over by a judge, Binta Nyako, gave the order on Thursday and directed that a bench warrant should be issued for Mr Kanu’s arrest.

The court said it has given the order because Mr Kanu had failed to appear in court after his bail was granted in April 2017.

The court ruled that the trial must continue and directed that a fresh date for the continuation should be given by parties so that the matter will continue in Mr Kanu’s absence.

The case was adjourned till June 18.

Mr Kanu, a separatist leader calling for an independent Biafran country, jumped bail when he escaped out of the country.

He has since appeared in several videos online criticising Nigerian leaders and government.

Details later…

Nnamdi Kanu became my guy the moment he said Atiku was from Cameroon grin. Coupled with his sit at home orders to IPOB members during the election.

In fact, I think he should be pardoned because he was of great service to Buhari's success in the east during the elections grin He did even more than Rochas

Court issuing baseless orders.

It's in Nnamdi Kanu's case that you have guts, what happened to Orji Kalu whose arrest has been ordered by the court?

This institution has been bastardized to the extent one is no longer afraid of its orders.

The useless albino who lives in his father's house at that his age. A fool at 40 is a fool forever.

The court presided over by a judge, Binta Nyako, gave the order on Thursday and directed that a bench warrant should be issued for Mr Kanu’s arrest.

Lol what took the court so long. They should have done this a year ago. The defense told you the client was kidnapped and didnt know where abouts. The prosecution said he ran away. This is one reason trials take so long since judges drag their feet on decisions.

This event shows his sureties are up creek without a paddle. Its time to forfeit cash or sit in jail. They could always disappear like Kanu. The judge doesnt care for their excuses.
