I live outside nigeria and i was very happy to hear from a friend that we could now get NTA on cable. Got home and tried and got the channel and i became so pissed off at the picture before me. It was like something from the 80s. The sound was so poor that i immediately changed the channel. Even during this past elections, i tried to hear results on NTA but everything was so mediocre that i became so angry. Nonsense channel.

So so many of them are the problem of NTA. The largest Tv network in Africa my foot...

But this particular one in Nigeria don’t think any of this functions is of importance to it. It rather prefer the pursuit of politicians and the dissemination of false news from the government.

Every year, NTA buys new equipments, modern gadgets that equals the very ones Cable News Network(CNN) uses to generate those magnificent clips you see every now and then but the question is, why does NTA’s clips still looks like an amateur clip

The last time I watched that station was in 2004 or something! That terrible day when ADC aircraft went down 4min after take off. All other stations were live update trying to locate the crash site. Only NTA was busy showing cassava green leaves.

Lol... It's really depressing having to watch that channel. What will it take the minister of information and communications to fixed NTA since the DGs over time seems to have lost touch with what a tv station in the 21st century should look like.
Everything is just wrong with NTA from awkward programs to colour, sound, picture quality to staff appearance. Even their studio is nothing to write about.

Kindly name them at the bolded, and do you watch a different NTA from this one.
We need to be honest with ourselves for things to get better. NTA has been in existence for ovet 30years, can you honestly compare them with the likes of channels, tvc, Arise, AIT,Silverbird and the likes in Nigeria. Mind you i didn't mention stations like bbc, cnn, fox news or csbc because that would be like comparing a unicorn to a goat.

Every DG of NTA seems to lose his senses onces he is there. There is something terribly wrong somewhere, a dramatic overhaul of personnel is what that station needs. Let square pegs be put in square holes.

That's one of the many problem atiku's government intended solving.

You see, the government isn't good with business because its not suppose to behave like an aggressive investor going about profit-chase.

And the media industry is hyperdynamic. It changes all the time. Picture-producing equipments and transmission devices are update fast enough to keep up with consumers demand.

NTA isn't doing a bad jib anyway. The only bad thing I see is, it still being under government control.

That is not true.you can't achieve alone if they don't want change.if he was given a free hand,he might have sacked a lot of people and bought in real professionals and not these set of people.even some of the presenters have accent and I don't think they can get same roles in other countries of the world expect here.there is even a lady that are eyes were always shining like a weed smoker.i have not watched that TV station in 10years.

I recall the days when their jingo was "100 million people watch NTA News. 100 people can't be wrong!" Then they tell lies for the next hour or so!

he changed the logo then to something sweet and modern only for its be returned back to that ugly thing ..He made all the stations to be able to broadcast real time to the network

Probably you may not know that Ben Bruce repackaged NTA but one Iredia came and vindictively turned everything back to square zero. From Corporate logo to programming.
