Digital Map Of Nigeria by dasa: 4:15pm On Apr 30, 2007
details on the map include:

all national highways (interstate roads)
inland waterways
all major cities and towns (1000+)
national and state boundary etc

the map is accurately geo-referenced so that you can input coordinates (lat and long) and it will display the accurate position.

accuracy is very high.

limitations.
no inner city roads. only national level.

possible uses.

vehicle/asset tracking (gps based)
instant measurement of distance from one point to another
etc.

the map is in .map format.

i will give mapping software to run the map.

interested? send an email to info@nigertrak.com

We are really excited that the use of digital maps in Nigeria is beginning to generate interest. It is also nice to know that a number of Nigerians are now into the business of developing accurate maps. Our company Spatial Technologies Ltd had invested in developing the most extensive and accurate national highway composite mapping data. The constituents of the composite national highway network map are:

1. State political boundaries
2. 774 Local Government Areas
3. Point location of over 1,000 major towns, 3,000 minor towns, and over 33,000 villages.
4. Edge-matched street level maps for over 70 cities.

The national highway data is categorized into Express, Major and minor roads. This data boasts of +/-3m planimetric accuracy. Our national highway data is currently being used by 5 vehicle tracking companies in Nigeria as it allows them to track vehicles across Nigeria between and within cities.
