The extra money most people are eyeing in custom is gotten mostly through unhanded practice and many still won't see it (Especially support staff). Same thing i was thinking but everyone keeps talking about job security and also customs is less time consuming to the present one i have now. Even if i get through customs i would be under the I.T section (which is a support staff i think)

Everyone in the supplementary for cadre 08 are support staff. I applied as an Entry Level Quantity Surveyor. For me it's a huge leap if employed, even in private sector Customs salary scale is for like 5 years experience licensed QS so i may drop all what i am doing and take it if invited. But if i am in the private sector earning 250k+ in a different industry with potential for growth i may have to reconsider. I worked as an HR intern in a large organisation and they are people there earning bàstard money legally.

As for time and less stress i am not so sure, this isn't a normal FG job it's paramilitary. I have also worked as a QS in the millitary during NYSC,Monday to Sunday you can be call upon, Leaves are difficult to take. Only our Ogas here can clarify that.

So cadre 08 na office job throughout their career. As for the stress, custom is less stressful u can be called anytime but won't be called every time especially now that every space will be filled

Kindly please enlighten me more.. What does supp staffs means? Does it mean that u v a limited time to spend with custom or u can't do some works that every other regular staffs do...plz I need to kno..thanks

I thought they said cadre 08 is just for 3 months. Would other cadres also spend 3 months in training too?

I guess she was pregnant before camp resumption and probably she wasn't made to undergo pregnancy test on arrival to camp
