Does this change the fact that our roads does not last more than six months after our civil engineers have finished their construction work or the buildings that are collapsing all over the country due to their incompetency

It's a lie! She is not the 1st female civil engineer in Nigeria. Ebele Ofunneamaka Okeke who was the former Head of Service of Nigeria and also a native of Nnewi in Anambra State, is the 1st female civil engineer in Nigeria. Ebele graduated with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, England in 1971, while Engr. (Mrs.) Mayen Modupeola Adetiba graduated from Columbia University School of Engineering, New York City, with a B.Sc in Civil Engineering in May 1975, four (4) years after Engr. (Mrs.) Ebele Okeke graduated. Let's stop twisting fact.

An Igbo woman is the 1st female civil engineer in Nigeria, not a Yoruba woman.

I do not and will not believe any story from Yoruba land that highlighted first-in-anything in Nigeria. Yoruba people are big loudmouthed group that can claim first to land on the moon if the opportunity presents itself.

Very goofy stuff that cannot sustain the test of scrutiny. They have already claimed that Rotimi Williams was the first to open law firm in Nigeria. However, in 1942 Rotimi Williams was still writing his law exams in London when Mbanafo had already opened a law firm in Onicha in 1937. Yoruba are talking drum.

Birthday Wishes to Mrs. Adetiba, but....

SHE IS NOT THE FIRST FEMALE CIVIL ENGINEER IN NIGERIA!

The immediate past Head of the Federal Civil Service Ms. Ebele Okeke is...
She received her BSc (Civil Eng) in 1971, before Mrs. Adetiba's BSc (Civil Eng) in 1975.

She could be the first to earn the title of Eng ,receiving the degree first doesn't mean someone who obtained it after you can be Engr b4 you

Pretty unlikely that she would go abroad and study hard for the degree and then decided not to use it...
And given that she went ahead to add related post-graduate degrees later on in the 1970s, doubtful that she was not practicing.
