NDUKA OBAIGBENA SICK: There is palpable anxiety as Prince Nduka Obaigbena the flamboyant founder and publisher of Thisday Newspapers appeared heavily emaciated as pictured at the Arise Africa Fashion Week in Lagos on Friday, April 20, 2019.

Nduka Obaigbena was pictured with Ogun governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun; MD of Access and Guaranty Trust Banks, Herbert Wigwe and Segun Agbaje respectively as well as with the Business Editor of New Telegraph newspaper, Ayo Aminu.
Ever since Obaigbena’s pictures appeared online, tongues have not stopped wagging.
Meanwhile, information reaching www.e-nigeriang.com is that Mr. Obaigbena has allegedly been battling weight gain and breathing challenges for some time now. ‘In fact, he spends more time abroad now than here in Nigeria, because of that’, disclosed a source.

‘He, however, flies down when necessary – just like he did during for Arise Africa Fashion Week which he hosted alongside international model, Naomi Campbell.’ Reported, YES! International magazine.

Nduka Obaigbena is a Nigerian media mogul, the founder and publisher of Thisday Newspapers, African style & culture focused magazine – Arise; 24-hours international news channel Arise News.

The Edo College and University of Benin-trained Fine Artist, born on July 14, 1959, is credited for changing the face of journalism in Nigeria, when he injected colour pages into ThisDay Newspapers.

Obaigbena is widely addressed as the ‘undisputed original glamour boy of Nigeria’s journalism.’
