The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday described the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari as a “mass failure”, saying there was nothing ministers and agency heads would turn in as their handover notes as demanded by the president.

The president, in a statement by Mallam Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, had asked his appointees to come up with a comprehensive status reports on policies, programmes, and projects of their respective ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

Shehu also said the government officials had until Wednesday, April 24, 2019 as the deadline for submission of their reports to the Presidential Audit Committee in the Office of the Vice President.

However, speaking exclusively with Daily Independent, Kola Ologbondiyan, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, said ministers in President Buhari’s administration performed below expectations while most of the projects undertaken by the administration were those left behind by the PDP.

The party said it was anxiously waiting to see what the ministers would submit.

Ologbondiyan said: “As far as the PDP is concerned, the Buhari administration, in totality, is a mass failure.

“So, we are wondering in our own party what he is asking his ministers to submit. Is it TraderMoni that the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo, supervised?

“Or is it the rail line that the PDP government started that they inherited? Or is it the renovation of the airport or the roads that they have left comatose because they failed to repair them?

“As a party, we do not know why the president asked them to prepare a handover note, but we await the fulfilment of that instruction and see what the ministers will come up with.”

In a related development, the South-West chapter of the party has petitioned the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) over the crisis rocking the Lagos State chapter of the party.

Segun Adewale, popularly called Aeroland, a former chieftain of the party, had stormed the party’s secretariat last week with scores of his supporters, declaring himself as the chairman, saying the tenure of Adegbola Dominic had expired since December, 2018.

However, in a statement by Dr. Eddy Olafeso, the National Vice Chairman (South-West), the party said Dominic was the recognised chairman of the party in the state, adding that Adewale had ceased to be a member of the party since last year.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to the purported claim to the office of the Lagos State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by one Segun Adewale (a.k.a Aeroland).

“We wish to categorically state, without fear or favour, that the said imposter, Segun Adewale, is not a member of our party.

“It might interest you to know that this individual is the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2018 governorship election of Ekiti State, and we do not have any record of him decamping to our party, either in Lagos State or any other state chapter.

“Against the aforementioned, we wish to ask that you kindly use your good offices to maintain peace and order by restraining Segun Adewale from having access to the state headquarters of our party in Lagos State, currently at 56A Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja, or any other PDP facility.”

And truly its actually fact, these are the only two people who we really see their impact. I hope Buhari makes better choices this time, not picking people who don't know how to handle ministries just because they played a big role in his coming back. But he should pick people who are well learned and who actually know their job. Not people like Lai Mohammed who speaks without thinking. The position of the minister of Information is a very crucial position which requires a very learned person who knows how to pass information reasonably and properly.

Funny How PDP makes things look like they’ve never been in power before. Throughout the 16 years of PDP no time the Ministers prepared handover notes when their time elapsed.. PDP should wait till May 29 before they start drama.
