Boko haram is yet to be defeated by Nigerian military forces not because we don't have the abilities, resources or the man powers rather they are fighting the unknown everyday not even the US intelligence can detect the potential threat
Because this boko boys most times carry out their operations unidentified dressed up like Nigerians going on their daily activities.

Many factors has delimited the advantages of the Nigerian military forces against the insurgents, they include the following

Politicizing the warfare- reports have shown that the insurgency are heavily sponsored by the wealthy elites in which they are equipped with sophisticated weaponry to fight the military whereas ordinarily they can't afford, the reasons behind this sponsorship is to get the attention of government to disrupt the activities of the governance and administration in order to benefit from the turmoil.

Corrupt military institute- corruption has gradually become the part of the military forces whereby the military personnels are being manipulated to disclose their confidential strategic intelligence to the public through media thereby giving the insurgents greenlight on how to counter their attacks. The institutions has compromise the issues of tribalism and ethnicity towards who will be in the forefront, although the security and defense budgets are heavily funded by the Federal government yet most of the soldiers doesn't have health insurance, soldiers salaries are poor and also been owned. Most times the institutions deviates from the major threat of the northern Nigeria and Nigeria as a whole then focusing on the duties of the civilian police.

Monetizing the crises- insurgency in Nigeria has taken a lot of resources in order just to tackle the menace but its to be intractable because many benefit heavily from the conflict financially and therefore they wouldn't want it to stop, in order to keep the warfare going they have to influence the insecurities of the locality, manipulating the programs of the military and the insurgents just to maintain the already started conflicts. Also foreign donors do contribute massively financially to the situation, hereby the ghost beneficiaries will always want more of the support therefore they rather keep the crises going.

The role of international community- most countries have intervened on behalf of Nigeria to curtail the manifestation of insurgency in the country while some are trying to stop the crises, some are indirectly sponsoring the insurgents because most of them needs economic advantages like since they produce weapons they will love it to be sold out. Also they seeks for political advantage, many international community would want Nigeria to remain underdeveloped, inhabitable and uncultured in order to limit their relevance in the global power so they therefore will make sure that Nigeria suffers from conflicts, poverty and many other malice.
