I use a Xiaomi device but my point is TECNO appeals to some people even though it doesn't appeal to you. The truth if the matter is that before Xiaomi will compete with TECNO, it will take time cos TECNO is an household name already and they've done there marketing well. How many people know Huawei or Xiaomi? Not everybody.
