Femi Fani-Kayode in a Facebook post, slammed Femi Gbajabiamila for seating before a Fulani Islamic Scholar in his quest to become a Speaker of Nigeria's House of Representatives. Femi Fani-Kayode who slammed Femi Gbajabiamila for seating before a Fulani Islamic Scholar, further recounted how Islam came into Yorubaland. Stating that the house of representatives member was one of the most brillant minds of the new generation of young political leaders that emerged in the 90's, added that things appear to have changed. The question is whether any leading Fulani politician would ever crawl before, kneel at the feet of and grab the thighs of any Yoruba Muslim cleric or Sheik simply to win his support for any position? I doubt it very much given the fact that Fulani Muslims do not even allow Yoruba clerics to lead prayers in mosques in the north. The Yoruba Muslims in the north are compelled to open their own "Yoruba Mosques" where they can lead in prayer but they cannot lead in any mosque that the Hausa Fulani attend. This one got me cracking The truth of the matter is that a slave knows that he's a slave, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. When you see them calling others slave, they are using reverse psychology that's why they are accusing others of what they are guilty of so that they can easily wipe out their slave status and perception which is impossible.. If I had not been to the north ,I would have said FFK is right. But the man is indeed a fool to mislead the gullible followers to believe any trash he cooks up. It is their norm in some part of the north for subjects to sit down on the floor near their king.  This is my experience, we visited one Seriki in one part of the north, what we observed was that his chiefs sat down on the floor around him as he was the only one seated on a chair. We decided to join them by sitting on the floor. Being visitors ,the Seriki felt we were not used to their custom and ordered for plastic chairs to be giving to us.But we insisted that we were comfortable with the floor. He was very happy that we respected his custom. I think it is the same scenario that played out here that FFK has to take advantage of it to preach hate. 33 Likes 5 Shares |
