Now that they have lock their office they will look for a way to give them light. In this country if you don't riot or speak up, you'll just die in silence

Nigeria generates 5000mw on a good day. For 200million people.

To get up to 20000 mw, we would have to spend at least. 4 trillion naira.

Our budget is 8 trillion.

Either we take another loan, or we cut subsides, cut jobs etc to. Find the money.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians are not paying their bills. In some areas.less.than 50 percent of customers actually pay.

Same thing for many government agencies.

If you like, blame APC. They deserve it. Blame PDP. They. Deserve it

But let us not lie to ourselves

You cannot pay bills of less than 10000 naira and expect light 24/7.

Most. Of you want.power.for.free.it is not possible.

So discos should give us all a meter, and we should all pay our bills.

We. Have been doing this for years. In 2004, as a. Student, I was. Part of the 10% of people that was paying bills for the remaining 90%.

Nigerians should be serious

Call me a. Capitalist. Call me a. Zombie. Call me a. Wailer. But our. Power. Problem needs money not free of. Charge!

Prepaid meter is d solution to ur plight

We had similar issue in our community back den,it took Us two years b4 we could get metered for free, wwe wrote a lot of letters/petitions indicting deir management, involving media/print houses

No b by closing down NEPA office,u guys re just wasting time

Steps to take

1) form a youth pressure group including some active elders, sensitize d ppu in d community abt uniformed bill payment. I.e no matter what dey bring at d end of s month, all residential members will pay just 500/1k as d case maybe, dis will send signal to dem,I.e by reducing deir IGR,and dis most b followed strictly

2) follow it up with peaceful protest involving media houses and reading ur demands(including prepaid meter installation) to d NEPA management, wyle letting dem knw dt henceforth, no more ladder for disconnection in ur community till all demands re met

3) if dt doesn't bend,go to d extreme,by officially telling dem to disconnect d community from d national grid, automatically leads to no sharing of bill again, though d third option might b tuff, but am sure if ur community is an area where NEPA generate a lot of money from, dey will call u guys for a meeting and seek for a lasting solution cool
