4. When the Holy Spirit descended on them, they started telling of God's wonderful works in the various earthly languages of those around

The purpose of the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost was to break the communication barrier by enabling the disciples to preach the gospel to those who came from afar, so that they can take the good news with them to their various places.

Recall that the Lord had earlier told them to "tarry" in Jerusalem until they receive power from the Holy Spirit, so that they can carry the good news starting from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the world.

The tongues (languages) spoken by the disciples were not ecstatic meaningless gibberish that characterize most speaking in 'tongues' today.

Then he asked the interpreter why he's not interpreting?. .. But the interpreter said but "Sir, you are speaking our language so there's no need."

In Paul's day, some believers were already abusing this gift, by breaking into tongues at meetings to the consternation of those who could not understand. So Paul advised

"If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. But if there is no interpreter, let HIM KEEP SILENT IN CHURCH, and let him speak to himself and to God. " - Acts 14:27-28

4. When the law of God no longer seem "burdensome" but a delight, pleasure and joy to you.

5. When you find yourself manifesting the fruit of the Holy Spirit habitually

6. When the kingdom of God and His righteousness becomes your topmost priority

7. When you find yourself devoting more and more of your time, talents, treasures or resources towards advancing the work of God.

8. When your love for Jesus gets deeper and deeper

9. When you like to share the gospel with as many as possible.

Ok. Unclean spirit from Frogs? @OP, did you put the unclean spirit inside of a frog them? Remember that God created frogs too, and He did declare them good when He was done.
According to the Bible, God Himself engineered the speaking in "gibberish" tongues all for those who would not obey Him. So, why drag frogs into this?

You’re mixing two different things together . Praying to God in tongues is different from speaking to men in tongues . That’s just the code . If you examine your study from this perspective you will see the missing link .

Interpretation was never for God's benefit, but for our benefit, and the benefit of those listening. Even Paul spoke on this and suggested those who speak in tongues ought to ask for interpretation so the spirit and mind are both engaged even as we speak/pray in tongues.

The key is in the portion which is in bold. When speaking in tongues, you utter words that can be interpreted, either by you or the hearer. But the verse there clearly states that the intercession the spirit does on our behalf is not UTTERED (not spoken words-- more sounds than words, or even silence). So it is nothing to do with speaking in tongues. And when he does it, obviously the one the Spirit speaks to is God and so there is no need for words - hence no tongue.
He that searcheth the hearts? That would be God(Jeremiah 17), is able to understand the spirit, even when words are not used.

I agree with you on this 100%, this has been my argument, sometimes I wonder if it is the same Bible that I read that those people who speaks those gibberish and babbling are reading and they will always find a way to confuse you and tell you that you don't understand the things of the spirit. 1. The disciples were in one accord, studying, praying.

2. They were all Galilean speaking Jews.

3. People came from all over the world. Nigeria for example.

NOTE:

The purpose of the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost was to break the communication barrier by enabling the disciples to preach the gospel to those who came from afar, so that they can take the good news with them to their various places.

Recall that the Lord had earlier told them to "tarry" in Jerusalem until they receive power from the Holy Spirit, so that they can carry the good news starting from Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the world.

Acts 1:8. "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

The scripture I quoted in Romans has all the answers . When you pray in tongues . It is the Holy Spirit that does the praying through you . Because our understanding is limited . Not the same principle. And please, we are so not saying the same things at all. You are still saying something completely different from what I have said, even about Romans 8.

I believe the default mode for all those who do not have the Holy Spirit is speaking in gibberish, according to the Bible.
....I remember once back in college, was very skeptical about the existence of God, but I let some ladies lead me anyways into unleashing it ... from the inside of my person. It didn't feel right but I continue to "speak in tongues" with them during their morning prayer meeting for that week, until the next week, thankfully, I got a new distraction and I stopped it entirely.
Like I said, it did not feel right and I was puzzled as to why the same sounds and syllables were all I could repeat over and over .... reminded me of juju incantations said over and over again. I wondered why anyone would even believe such meant God was there.

I am glad I did not settle for that then, and I am glad I know better now.

....I remember once back in college, was very skeptical about the existence of God, but I let some ladies lead me anyways into unleashing it ... from the inside of my person. It didn't feel right but I continue to "speak in tongues" with them during their morning prayer meeting for that week, until the next week, thankfully, I got a new distraction and I stopped it entirely.

The topic is straight forward, easy to understand and clear by God's grace. The vain repetitious gibberish that goes on under the guise of speaking in tongues is unbiblical.
