Amdman or anyone who knows, what's the cost like for a project like this?
amdman:
While thinking of ways to give back to the community, we came across this thread https://www.nairaland.com/6358078/onwe-zack-onyebuchi-provides-borehole and thought it ludicrous that access to potable water is still such a big deal for so many people particularly those in rural communities. We reached out to Zack and we were able to finance the siting of a borehole in Ogbana, Ntezi, Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State to serve an estimated 2000 people. The project has been completed and the borehole is currently in use.

Pictures below show their previous water source and how it is now.

No specific cost on such project... First important step is to run a geological survey... That will tell you the required depth to get proper water and underlying fractures - which is a pathway to the water that'll serve you, either for personal or commercial purpose.
And the depth will determine the cost. (cost of a 70m borehole will be different from 100m)

No cost is too much to make a difference in the lives of those not so privileged.

True.

2014: $100*165 = N16,500; 50kg rice: N8,500; Fuel: N87
2021: $100*483 = N48,300; 50kg rice: N30,000; Fuel: N165.

Earning a hundred $ in 2014 is better than earning same amount in 2021.

Point of correction 100 dollar in 2014 had better value than double the sum in 2021

Wow e cost small ooo.
I was thinking less than 5m will do it in case one is also motivated enough to also do a similar CSR.

Oh you meant meters, I misread that as 70 million. I just wanted a range not really a specific figure per say

It could range from five hundred thousand to one million naira or more depending on the depth, location and what would be included... The reason you can't get a specific figure is because there's variations in water layers of underneath rock from one location to another. You may go as far as 150 meters in some areas and the water will hardly serve for personal use, while some 70-80 meters will serve commercial purposes... That's why I said earlier that running a geological survey is the first important thing.
