Nice to see you drop pics of cars at good prices. Yours are always different with the prices, the way dealers are ready to suck people enhhh. Saw a Ford Explorer you posted for 3.5 and someone posted same for 5.5 million. While that 5.5 would buy the 2014 model.
Abeg what is the cost of 2008 to 2012 Honda accord.
Big ups @Amdman

Would you rather have him drop the prices in Canadian or US dollars? Ain’t you aware of the geometric nose dive of the naira against other currencies in the parallel markets?

Are we not tired of defending every single thing he does?
I thought he is here to collect offers and if I feel the price is overboard unlike his usual disposition, I find another market... then he continues with other customers. Who locks his shop cos of one comment from a customer?

Please let's forget this talk. D said person does not really look serious to do this business again... is no longer about clearance or foreign exchange, I believe d guy is not interested anymore..

He only came back few weeks ago, obviously just to sample his ford edge cars and nothing more, I have gone through this whole thread and I believe the current op is not interested anymore, but I blame him for something, at least say it here than to tell people u are back and jive off while still visiting NL.

the essence of getting from Amdman: you see the true condition of the vehicle without running a VIN check. At Berger, you may buy a badly damaged vehicle as clean title if you don't run VIN.

Hi, please I need your candid advice and that of other more knowledgeable people about.

There is this car bidding i want to get involved in, the details of the vehicle is in the attached image.

Please is the state of the car worth bidding for at all?
And if yes what should the max price, one should buy it considering repairs and used car market value as I may sell it off after maybe a year of usage.

The whole thing kicks off tomorrow, so I will appreciate a fast response.
Thanks

Nice read.. thanks. It seems that SAM thingy can be a pain in the arse o. But replacing it, especially if no other modification was done is cost effective according to the article. So, do I go ahead and bid? And what will be a bargain price to buy the vehicle as is?

That will be up to you to determine, you have to factor the cost of replacing those faulty SAM modules plus other required fixes into your budget.

This thread is a definition of "May Nigeria never happen to us"

People might argue that costs of vehicles have increased all over the world, but Naija case is peculiar due to falling Naira.

A car that cost $3k few years ago at $200/N would be 600k Naira excluding shipping and clearing fees.

If the car is now $4500 (assuming 50% increase) due to inflation in car cost all over the world, ideally, @$200/N, if the Naira is relatively stable against dollar, the new car price should be N900,000.

But in the case of naija; now, a dollar is N700+.
Assuming same inflation rate of 50%, the price of the same car which could have cost N900,000 with stable currency is now $4500*700 = N3,150,000

That's why Corolla which was about 1.2m - 1.5m few years ago is now 4m or thereabout.

Naija situation isn't just as a result of general inflation in cost prices but a combined effect of GENERAL INFLATION and DEEPLY FALLING Naira.

I'm not saying OP is out of business, I believe he must have established relationships with some clients off-thread whom he still helps source for cars but the general level of patronage has clearly dropped and affected this business.

I PRAY every business that has suffered in these hard times resuscitate soon.

MAY NIGERIA NEVER HAPPEN TO US

And this is just the cost of buying the car, there is the shipping and inland plus the almighty ever increasing custom duty
