Nnenna Nwabueze Okonta popular known as 'Merit' of "Living In Bondage" shared a throwback scene from her role in 'Living In Bondage" 27 years after the movie was produced.

The beautiful actress captioned the video:

"My first major film 27 years"

ThefamousNaija recalls that Nnenna Nwabueze became an instant star after featuring as' Merit' Kenneth Okonkwo's wife in the blockbuster movie 'Living In Bondage".

She later got married to a rich man, the late Okonta few years after the movie and stopped acting. Her jealous husband stopped her from acting but few years before his death, he later allowed her to return to Nollywood. Merit is now fully back to Nollywood, she has been getting lots of roles since her return, ThefamousNaija reports.

Merit has 6 children.

This was the movie that revolutionised Nollywood, Yorubas were in control of the film and theatre industry but the artistes were living from hand to mouth until some Igbo chaps saw it as a money making venture.
They brought in their expertise, invested good money, got some good actors and marketers and the rest as they say is history.
The movie was acted in Igbo language and subtitled in English.

Most people who watched this movie did so with black and white TV and VCR cassette player, it's today that I know she was wearing a green dress in the film
